Your Role and Responsibilities
Research Staff Member - Superconducting Circuits
IBM Research is seeking an experienced candidate with a background in superconducting circuits to join our quantum computing team at the T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.
You will work in a team responsible for the design, fabrication, and characterization of novel Josephson junction based superconducting circuits. Applicant must have a proven track record in the field, to include publications in high-impact journals.
This position is located in Yorktown Heights, NY
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 4 years of research experience working with superconducting circuits
Familiarity with microwave test and measurement tools and techniques
Familiarity with Python programming and Linux operating systems
Familiarity with low-temperature, low-noise measurement techniques
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years of research experience working with superconducting circuits
At least 5 years of experience with Python programming and hardware interfacing
At least 2 years of experience operating dilution refrigerators
