ManpowerGroup Manufacturing Engineer I - York in York, Pennsylvania

A Manufacturing Engineer I is needed for a long-term assignment with a premier York, PA manufacturing company. This will support New Product Projects by working on the production floor as a Tactical Engineer assisting production during start-up of equipment- this will be project based work- job duties will vary based on need. Mostly day shift 6am-3:30pm with some off-shift work on occasion. (3rd shift is available as well)

This position will:

  • provide technical support for a variety of New and Current Product Fabrication processes, including Draw Dies, Laser Trim and Weld, Robotic and Manual GMAW/GTAW and Robotic Polish equipment.

  • Major responsibilities include enhancing fabrication processes by assuring that parts are processed to meet optimum quality, quantity, and cost requirements.

  • Interface will occur with Work Group Advisers, Work Groups, Quality and Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Support Services.

  • Other responsibilities include continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality cost and delivery.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)

  • This is an entry-level position, however, previous experience in a co-op program or intern assignment focused on manufacturing will be a plus for consideration for this position.

  • A knowledge and prior implementation of machine programming, SPC (statistical process control), and Computer Aided Design / CAD is helpful
