Kforce IT Operations Manager in Yorba Linda, California

Kforce has a client in search of an IT Operations Manager for a fantastic opportunity in Yorba Linda, CA.Summary:The candidate will be responsible for IT infrastructure and operations, the IT Operations Manager is a champion of customer service, technical aptitude and operational awareness. You will manage, mentor and motivate the IT operations team. A nimble problem solver, you can balance the need to keep the lights on while also focusing on proactive and preventative efforts. You're available around the clock if needed to support the business and your team.Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage IT operations including infrastructure, hardware, and software administration

  • Manage and report on IT support SLAs and KPIs

  • Assist the Senior Director in maintaining IT strategy and budget

  • Set and measure performance goals for the IT Operations team

  • Design, deploy, and maintain key strategic initiatives

  • Act as a solutions leader, able to solve business requirements with tangible results

  • Support 24/7 operations, including Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Incident Management issues

  • Maintain an elevated level of accountability, recognizing the high-profile nature and security sensitivity of the department

  • Adhere to the published duties as contained in the company's Policy and Compliance documents

  • Continuously adhere to all company policies

  • Assist other business teams as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Operations team, including System Administrators and Helpdesk technicians

  • Mentor, motivate and encourage team strengths; identify and address areas of improvement

  • Responsible for scheduling and time management of the team

  • Perform annual performance reviews of IT Operations team members

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, technical certifications or related equivalent experience

  • 5 years of experience managing IT operations

  • Mastery of Microsoft Active Directory and Domains

  • Proven ability to design and implement scope and scale of critical IT infrastructure systems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and develop people

  • Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, LDAP

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and design including cabling, LAN, WAN, security and wireless

  • Strong understanding of cyber-security policies and procedures

  • Advanced knowledge of Nutanix and VMware ESXi infrastructure and networking

  • Strong working knowledge of NAS/SAN design and implementation including on-prem, cloud and hybrid solutions

  • Advanced administration of Office 365/Exchange including PowerShell scripting, transport rules and DLP

  • VOIP and UCaaS design, implementation and administration

  • Familiar with MDM platforms

  • Mastery of hardware, OS and application troubleshooting

  • Able to effectively discuss, translate, and describe highly complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Coach team to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness; Build confidence in the individual and the team

  • Operational acumen - able to relate business needs with technical solutions

  • Tight understanding of IT budget and spend
