State of Massachusetts Data Coordinator in Worcester, Massachusetts
Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital is seeking a Data Coordinator who collects, analyzes and presents data from a variety of sources. The Data Coordinator is expected to independently respond to requests from all disciplines within the facility for data collection and analysis on a variety of topics and to provide clear, succinct reports to department managers and hospital administration.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with Saturday and Sunday off.
Duties and Responsibilities:_(_These duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)
Responds to data and report requests from Administration, treatment and program teams, individual clinicians and departments, and DMH Area and Central offices by gathering, analyzing and presenting the data.
Leads interdisciplinary teams to create and implement performance improvement projects based on analysis of data.
Generates summary and detail reports, utilizing a variety of sources including DMH’s Datix Safety Learning System, the Electronic Medical Record, written forms.
Analyzes data, and using Excel, Access, Word, and Tableau, designs and prepares forms, data collection tools, reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards, assesses various visual display options and determines the most effective way to present the information for purposes of evaluation and decision-making by clinical and administrative leadership staff.
Reviews medical record information as needed. Conducts audits to verify accuracy and completeness of data and reconciles information between various sources.
Supervises clerical staff, assigns work, reviews work assignments for accuracy, completeness, and quality, and evaluates performance.
_Required Qualifications (include but are not limited to)_
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to find patterns and details in sets of data through visualization and other mining techniques, and be able to demonstrate a knowledgeable command of applied probability and statistics, web analytics, and metrics.
Knowledge and proficiency in analytics and data visualization software, including Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and/or related or similar software package.
Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to formulate conclusions and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders
Experience in analyzing and determining the applicability of data, to draw conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.

_About Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH):_
Located on over 100 acres in Worcester, Massachusetts, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) is part of an integrated network of effective, efficient and culturally competent mental health services. It provides intermediate and long-term inpatient care for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who live in Massachusetts, as well as individuals requiring specialized court ordered evaluations. WRCH provides inpatient services to 260 inpatient adults, inclusive of a Deaf Inpatient Mental Health Service; 30 inpatient adolescents and 30 residential adolescents, in either an Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) or a Behavioral Intensive Residential Treatment Program (BIRT).__

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have (A) at least four (4) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, administrative, professional or technical experience in work involving research, data analysis, compliance, records management or program administration (B) an equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitution below.
Incumbents may be required to have a current and valid motor vehicle driver’s license at a class level specific to assignment.
I. A Bachelor’s degree in a related filed may be substituted for a maximum of two
(2) years of the required experience.
II. A Master’s degree or higher in a related filed may be substituted for a maximum of three (3) years of the required experience
