Job Description

The Process Innovation team within Pharmacy Operations strives to maintain industry-leading prescription fulfillment processes, tools, and systems in CVS Pharmacies across the country, while bringing innovative, high-quality, concepts to the pharmacy industry in support of our customers and patients.

As an Advisor/Lead Analyst, you will be a leading contributor in the development and production of complex analytics and reporting suites that will inform critical decisions affecting the retail pharmacy business. You will be required to manage multiple high-profile work streams with urgency and be accountable for delivering quality results, and be able to present these results to senior leadership in the company. You will work with cross-functional teams within the organization across the CVS Health enterprise. This is a great opportunity for a healthcare-focused analyst to make a big impact in pharmacies across the country.

Responsibilities include:

Acting as a thought-partner for business stakeholders as they develop key metrics

Serve as a subject-matter expert for Pharmacy Operations’ vast data assets

Lead the design and development of business dashboards for multiple Pharmacy Innovation teams

Prioritize, structure timelines, develop project plans, engage and align stakeholders across multiple groups, and incorporate feedback into active workstreams

Possibility to manage other analysts (0 – 1)

Required Qualifications

2 + years’ experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications. Similar application suites (Open Office, Google Drive, etc.) are acceptable

2 + years’ experience with data modeling/analytics with SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or other advanced analytical tools

Significant experience developing Business dashboards for audiences with varying levels of technical ability

Ability to communicate effectively in a clear, logical and consistent manner

High level of attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry knowledge and/or experience

  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Python, SAS, R, and/or VBA

  • Some programming experience

  • High level of independent judgment and initiative

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and influence at all levels

  • Some management experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Major in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related STEM field a plus

  • MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
