REX Senior Associate, Strategy and Operations in Woodland Hills, California

REX saves homesellers thousands of dollars in fees by going around the MLS to target home-buyers directly with sophisticated marketing that has never been used in real estate. Since its launch in Southern California, REX has expanded to 17 states and over 250 employees. Throughout the years, REX has represented homes cumulatively valued at over $1 billion and in the process, saved customers over $20 million in fees they otherwise would have paid traditional brokers.

REX is looking for a Senior Associate for our Strategy and Operations team who will be focused on growth and corporate strategy initiatives. In this role, you?ll be on a team responsible for the P&L for one of REX?s core buyer offerings, as well as other strategic initiatives. You will plan and drive cross-functional projects that allow REX to meet its ambitious growth plans. This role is currently remote; once REX?s offices are able to safely open back up, this role can be based in either our Los Angeles, California or Austin, Texas offices.

What You?ll Do:

  • Drive projects across sales, marketing, product and analytics that produce improvements in our business?s most critical performance metrics

  • Be accountable for the results of initiatives you roll out; this includes establishing the right KPIs, owning performance management / reporting, and driving any needed iterations to produce desired results

  • Design and rollout new processes that allow our sales teams to execute flawlessly and spend more of their time doing what they do best

  • Develop presentations that articulate the team?s strategic choices and initiative roadmaps to senior leaders

  • Develop training materials to support the sales organization with the rollout of new processes and programs

  • Build and implement processes that support adherence to new strategic initiatives

  • Work with leaders on goal setting and planning processes to ensure sales teams are tracking to company growth plan

What You Need:

  • A bias to action. You operate with the mentality that ?done (with an eye toward actionable learnings) is better than perfect?

  • Problem solving skills: Ability to break large, ambiguous problems down into useful problem solving frameworks that guide the path forward; must be able to see the forest and the trees at the same time

  • Core analytical skill set: Ability to identify which analyses need to be done to answer questions, manipulate large data sets (comfort with Excel required), and build models to answer complex questions

  • Project management skills: Ability to translate high-level strategies into actionable projects and work cross-functionally to drive execution

  • Communication skills: Ability to deploy strong communication (written / verbal) and interpersonal skills to communicate recommendations and impact with everyone from entry-level employees to external partners to executives

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, consulting or in a operations/strategy/business operations role at a fast-growing startup

  • A bachelor?s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field, or equivalent experience

Nice-To-Haves

  • Previous experience with Salesforce and running reports in Salesforce

  • Previous experience with Google Analytics

  • Previous experience with process design and implementation

  • Keen interest in residential real estate industry
