Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced and motivated professionals for various entry level roles in Contract Administration. This position will be located in our Mission Systems Sector at one of our facilities in Woodland Hills, CA.

Roles and responsibilities of the Contracts Representative will encompass the following, and vary slightly depending on specific position, program, or business unit to which you are assigned:

Support audits, reviews, fact-finding, and negotiation support requested by programs, customers, and company management. Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence. Research contract issues and prepare analysis with citations. Provide direct contract support, review contractual documents to ensure protection of company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies. D evelop proposal packages, in a timely manner and in accordance with established procedures. Provide proposal support including taking an active role in creating contract proposal volumes, supporting fact finding and the negotiation process. Maintain and provide status and tracking information on customer requests. Work cooperatively with the technical staff to address customer requests. Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, possess solid written and verbal communication skills, and have an agile perspective or compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.


Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of successful experience in Contract Administration, and/or Business Management or related field or 1 year with a Master's Degree or J.D.

  • Analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making

  • Accuracy and a high attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, independently identifying resolutions to issues and recommending logically sound courses of action.

  • Demonstrated proficiency and strength with verbal, written, PC, presentation and communications skills

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry

  • Proficiency and experience supporting sole source and competitive acquisitions

  • Demonstrated ability to determine priorities and allocate time and resources effectively

  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, systems (ERP, SAP) policies and practices

  • Fundamental knowledge of FAR/DFARS
