We offer 216 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments; 56 skilled and transitional care suites. The Redwoods Senior Apartments, adjacent to our main campus opened in November 2017. Responsibilities: Manages plans and organizes all patient admissions under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Also assists the nursing department with order entry, department audits, discharge planning, document scanning, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Successful completion of an approved nursing program for RN or LPN. Experience: Minimum of one year of senior care experience. Experience working with Medicare/HMO insurance desirable. Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare, HMO's and Managed Care. Ability to communicate with and use outside resources for questions related to regulations, Medicare, HMO's and other insurances. Good written and verbal communication skills Time management and prioritization skills. Ability to multitask. Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with nursing staff and other departments including Social Services, Rehab, Business Office, Staffing and Medical Records. Displays willingness to make decisions with sound and accurate judgment and is able to explain reasoning for decisions. Must hold a current nursing license in the State of Minnesota.
