Ethos Veterinary Health Veterinary Talent Acquisition Specialist in Woburn, Massachusetts

The Veterinary Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the entire candidate life-cycle - sourcing, recruiting, referring, screening, and interviewing veterinary doctor candidates. Working with management teams and Hiring Managers, this position ensures the smooth and timely operation of the interview and selection process, filling job requisitions with high quality candidates, as efficiently and expeditiously as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates contact and conducts phone screenings with qualified candidates and provides information about the organization, hospital, and position.

  • Leads the process of writing job postings in consultation with hiring managers and organizational leaders.

  • Regularly meets with hiring managers and regional/national leaders to provide updates on candidates, sourcing activities, and hiring needs.

  • Working collaboratively and in partnership with Hospital Directors/Managers and Medical Directors, executes national talent acquisition strategies at local hospitals as assigned.

  • Identifies, recommends, and implements best sourcing, interviewing, and negotiating techniques to attract top talent.

  • Develops and maintains social media presence for recruiting purposes (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).

  • Develops relationships and maintains a network of schools, alumni groups, house officer programs and other organizations to help identify a qualified and diverse candidate pool.

  • Proactively maintains Applicant Tracking System and other relevant systems to ensure open communications with colleagues and hiring managers.

  • Facilitates in-person interviews, schedules, and travel arrangements, and tracks candidates? progress in the interview process.

  • Coordinates and completes formal, written offers, and works with P&O colleagues to ensure full compliance and on-boarding activities, including new hire paperwork and orientation.

  • Participates in regular Talent Acquisition and People & Organization team meetings and projects as assigned.

  • Builds and maintains strong partnership across functions, departments and business groups to positively impact the recruitment process.

Education, License and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Local and national travel 25% of the time

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Skills

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of current recruiting experience in a corporate setting required

  • Previous experience with at least one Applicant Tracking System

  • Must be fully versed in sourcing, candidate evaluation and selection, offer development and delivery, and on-boarding

  • Working knowledge of national employment law practices

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Possesses good judgment and ability to gather information and make decisions based on that information.
