FINANCIAL PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has a Financial Program Supervisor position atSouthern Wisconsin Center(SWC) located in Union Grove.

Position Summary:
This position plans, organizes, supervises, and directs the Business Office for Southern Wisconsin Center (SWC). This includes overseeing all of the accounting and budgeting for Center funds with a total budget of $47 million. The Financial Program Supervisor directs and oversees purchasing, accounts receivable, capital inventory, patient/resident accounts, invoice processing, warehouse, laundry and sewing operations, along with management of bank accounts and receiving of cash. This position handles the budgeting for all shared services between SWC, Department to Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Corrections on the Union Grove campus. This position develops and administers SWC budgets, including reporting and making recommendations to the Directors and management on budget issues.

All applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow DHS to conduct a security background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
Qualifications:
Minimally qualified applicants will have:
Experience performing accounting functions related to purchasing and budgeting duties (e.g., accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, purchase orders, reimbursements, preparing deposits, auditing funds, journal vouchers, general ledgers, etc.)
Experience interpreting and applying accounting policies and procedures such as GAAP
Experience developing, implementing, or managing budgets
Experience leading teams or supervising employees (e.g., interviewing applicants, overseeing the work of staff, coaching or training, evaluating performance, discipline, etc.)
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
Well qualified applicants will have:
Experience managing money accounts in a professional setting (e.g., educational, hospital/long term care, institution, prison, etc.) for patients, students, inmates, etc.
Experience utilizing an Oracle based application software such as PeopleSoft
Experience with internal control responsibilities relating to an accounting/auditing environment
