ATI is a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc.Our great benefits, competitive pay, and exciting atmosphere are all key factors that help make ATI such a great place to work!Purpose:The Manager of Flight Standards is responsible for establishing, revising, managing and ensuring flight deck crewmembers are performing their duties in accordance with ATI's flight standards. The MOS is also responsible for supervising Line and Simulator Check Airmen when performing checking events or Operating Experience. The MOS will be involved in ensuring ATI operational manuals contain the latest standard operating procedures and involved in revising those manuals for accuracy along with the Assistant Standards Managers. The MOS will supervise the Assistant Standards Managers.The MOS will work closely with the MOT in ensuring training programs are built to support ATI flight standards and revised when necessary.Job Functions:Maintain and monitor ATI's initial, recurrent, upgrade and requalification proficiency flight check and evaluation standards in regard to company Flight Crew Training Manual and FAA regulations.Conduct TRBs in concert with the MOTAssist the MOT with development and maintenance of training syllabi in accordance with ATI's flight standards requirements.Work with the MOT to develop, revise and maintain instructor and check airmen training and qualifications.Hire and manage Line and Simulator check Airmen and APDs ensuring adequate staffing for the level of checking, qualifications and standardization at ATI.Perform the duties and functions of check airman and/or training instructor.Conduct quarterly standards meetings with check airmenEnsuring standards materials, i.e., manuals and other documents are current and correct.Coordinate with the FAA CMO regularly concerning pilot/check airmen checking and qualification duties.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Complete understanding of all regulatory requirements contained within 14 CFR part 121, Subpart N/O.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Proven leadership skills.5 years of experience as a Captain operating a large turbine jet aircraftAir Transport Pilot (ATP) rating.Preferred Job Skills:College degree preferred. Experienced in part 121 line operations requiring multi-crew large aircraft.Experienced in part 121 instruction and pilot checking.Experienced in the development and administration of part 121 AQP.B757/B767 Type RatingPrevious experience at a Flight or Flight Training manager level or above.Physical Requirements:Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.Light to moderate lifting is required.Comply with ATI attendance requirementsAir Transport International is an equal employment/affirmative action employer.
