Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division is looking for a

Financial Controller DACH (m/f/d)

based in Wiesbaden, Germany directly reporting into the EMEA Area Controller.

The position provides financial and business counsel, support and leadership to the DACH regional Director for a fast-paced, high growth business unit. Ensures timely delivery and accuracy of financial plans, updates and ensures compliance with ADC’s internal policies and procedures. Provides and interprets relevant performance & activity tracking data and acts as a driving force for continuous improvement within the ADC DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) business.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Monitors financial and market performance with monthly reporting

  • Leads the coordination of and is responsible for the financial and commercial data analysis and planning, budget management and customer data analytics

  • Leads process improvements and other continuous improvement projects in order to ensure ADC DACH is optimally set up to effectively serve customers in a fast-changing market

  • Utilizes external (e.g. IQVIA, Insight Health, …) and internal information (ADC systems and data) to assess effectiveness and efficiency of ADC’s business activities

  • Develops, tracks and monitors KPI’s for media effectiveness and efficiency

  • Owns and manages relevant IT systems and work streams

  • Complies with the company’s policies and procedures (regulatory, divisional and corporate directives) to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of ADC / Abbott

Your Profile:

  • Advanced degree in finance OR bachelor’s degree in business or finance and extensive experience as finance manager and/or controller. Preferred is a Master's degree in business (MBA), finance or certified public accountant degree (Wirtschaftsprüfer)

  • 7-10 years managerial / leadership experience required

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Background in demand planning and commercial excellence / consulting

  • Accounting and advanced financial modelling

  • Excellent MS Office skills / Power BI / Data analytics & analytical skills

  • General interest in and good understanding of IT systems

  • Advanced statistical skills & deep understanding of commercially available market data (relevance / limitations)

  • Coordinates and leads the regional finance team

  • Set vision & strategy : Identifies and acts upon trends that can impact the business

  • Anticipate : Develops scenario and contingency plans that ensure achievement of results under changing conditions and situations. Manages internal/external stakeholders to identify and address issues

  • Innovate : Challenges current thinking, generates new ideas and expects others to do the same

  • Build : Makes the difficult people, financial, and business decisions in a timely manner

  • Deliver results : Delivers what is promised, holds self and others accountable for results, commitments and behaviors. Balances short- and long-term priorities and maximizes the opportunities for both
