Charles Schwab Manager, Compensation in Westlake, Texas

Your Opportunity

As a Manager, Compensation, you will partner with team members, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders to provide analytical support and consultation on various compensation programs, processes and systems. This role will report to Senior Manager, Compensation or Director, Compensation.

What you are good at

  • Working closely with various teams on compensation programs that help drive business results.

  • Understanding the needs of the team and developing compensation solutions and associated communication materials.

  • Collaborating and leading aspects of program/process design, implementation, improvement and ongoing administration of broad-based compensation initiatives such as market pricing, survey management, annual pay planning process, compensation analyses and administration.

  • Developing and maintaining incentive plan analytics, metrics and reporting; participating in the incentive plan design process, documentation, tracking and distribution.

  • Crafting and developing formal support materials and facilitating ongoing training to HRBPs on pay policies, practices, and systems.

  • Performing ongoing competitive benchmarking for client organizations and advising business partners on the multiple considerations when determining salary and bonus recommendations.

  • Assessing and analyzing external and internal competitive environment to assess market trends and implications.

  • Leading projects and implementing programs through the development of project plans to identify key timelines and outputs.

  • Working with members of the broader Compensation team to ensure consistency of methods and applications, providing project leadership within the broader Compensation team.

  • Maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing compensation and incentive practices.

What you have

  • 5+ years of compensation experience in a large and complex corporate environment.

  • Experience supporting corporate functions strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Math preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Commitment to providing superb customer service to our business partners.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Experience with Workday or other Human Capital Management system preferred.

  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, team environment.

  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think beyond immediate consequences.

  • Flexibility to work in situations where there is no unique, correct answer.

  • Ability to apply independent judgment with follow-up to business partners regarding the appropriate course of action.

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation - 83,800 - 132,600
