What you’ll do

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment/systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex manufacturing and utility equipment/systems.

  • Maintain and repair building infrastructure and support utilities as needed.

  • Operate building utility systems. Perform start-up and shut-down of equipment and systems in support of manufacturing operations or equipment/system maintenance.

  • Supervise external service vendors performing maintenance activities on site.

  • Read and interpret equipment/system drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&ID’s.

  • Participate as the Facilities subject matter expert (SME) on project teams and investigations.

  • Develop and/or revise maintenance and operating procedures for the facilities team.

  • Document all work activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current.

  • Coach and train junior technicians and new hires on maintenance procedures, equipment operation and repairs.

  • Support the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in the identification and procurement of parts required for maintenance.

  • Support the Hazardous Waste Program at the site.

  • Champion Safety as a Senior member within the facilities department.

  • Champion Quality as a Senior member within the facilities department.

Who you are

  • High School Diploma or GED, higher-educatio.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician or skilled trade within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in a regulated environment such as medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.

  • Experience working with a CMMS, preferably Infor EAM.

  • Experience operating, monitoring, or maintaining a Building Management System for a controlled environment.

  • Experience in Hazardous Waste Programs and Waste Water Operations. Licensed Waste Water Operator is a plus.

  • Possess at least one professional license or certification. Preferably in one of the following areas; Electrician, HVAC-R, Waste Water Operator, Plumber/Pipefitter, Automation/Controls, Machining, Welding.

  • Expert level knowledge in two of the following areas; electrical, automation/controls, calibrations, plumbing/pipefitting, waste water operations, HVAC-R, boilers/steam systems, RODI/WFI systems, autoclaves, Building Management Systems, Pumps, machining, welding.

  • Experience with OSHA standards specific to LOTO, Confined Space, working at height, Machine guarding and Hazardous Waste.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with peers at various levels of the organization.

  • Experience working in a clean room or regulated environment is preferable.
