The Senior Lean leader position is accountable for leading the lean transformation of global supply chain operations through development and execution of wing to wing supply chain continuous process improvements. This role supports the US region plants, warehouses and logistics on matters of waste elimination to improve fulfillment, product quality, EHS and product cost in a manufacturing & transactional processes.
What you’ll do
Support driving the Policy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) in collaboration with each Product Segment & Regional P&L
Coach, guide and support Plant/Logistics and Warehouse Management and their Lean Leaders in development of DBS Lean Strategy and execution of DBS roadmap
Continually enhance DBS Lean skill, leadership and practices across the supply chain
Support the development of DBS Lean training plans & execute with Plant Lean Manager with reference to Lean Skills glyph.
Deploy DBS Lean tools including 3P methodology in early Product & Project management.
Assure DBS Lean Standards and processes are followed.
Collaborate and partner with the Operational Excellence team across the business to accelerate the Lean transformation.
Use DBS Lean tools and techniques to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize and drive improvements in operations performance.
Execute Kaizen events /Action Work Outs in the Plants/Project Execution/Product centers according to their priorities.
Drive measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Inventory lead-time and product flow in line with Policy Deployment
Flexible to travel and support Lean events locally/globally
Who you are
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a strong preference for scientific, engineering, business, or supply chain subjects.
Formal Lean training/certification
6 years Lean experience across the value chain of which 3 years were dedicated to successfully implementing hands on Lean
Minimum of 10 years of operational experience in Engineering or Manufacturing functions
Strong communication Skills, written and verbal.
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
Demonstrated leadership, energizing teams and project management
Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety and teamwork in a union environment
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment through Lean with substantial impact
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, teamwork & networking skills
Aware of and comply with the Cytiva Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 50% of the time
