Holiday Inn Werribee is ready to open in Melbourne’s West and we would love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an experienced Reservations Specialist to join our hotel pre opening team on a part time basis.

Your day to day

As the Reservations Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the reservations function for the hotel. Whether it be making a managing a corporate group booking or making a family reservation, you will use your exceptional service skills to ensure guest requests are met and provide the individuals with a true Holiday Inn experience.

Your solid knowledge of online reservations systems will mean that you will confidently book room reservation requests, enter rooming lists, load rates, confidently manage blocks and update accurate information in the system.Working with a number of stakeholders, both internal and external could see you discussing the property with a travel agent or providing a product update to the Central Reservations team to ensure the hotel is being represented and the Holiday Inn brand is fully delivered.

You will be motivated to drive the hotel and department to success by offering the best selection for the guest, facilitating special requests and ensuring revenue is maximized through up-selling opportunities.

This role is currently a part time role of 4 days per week.

What we need from you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in hotel reservations

  • Previous experience of working with online reservations systems such as Concerto and Opera (desired)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Ability to convert enquiries into contracted business

  • Exceptional, friendly and engaging service skills

  • Be highly organised with exceptional administration

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative in dealing with guests and stakeholders

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities and tasks

  • A true brand ambassador for Holiday Inn and the IHG group

  • A true passion for the hospitality industry and exceeding client and guest expectations
