Continuous Improvement Leader
M-F 8am-5pm

The Continuous Improvement Leader will monitor and improve organizational processes with the aim of making them as efficient as possible while being guided by Lean and Kaizen methodologies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Facilitate or lead meetings, teams, projects, and process improvement ideation and solutioning sessions.

Plan and coordinate resources to drive improvements through proper problem solving and project management.

Responsible for follow-up/action items/analysis, depending on the project.

Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working.

Elicit requirements and drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis.

Coordinate with leadership team to build a CI project portfolio and prioritize targeted areas of opportunity for improvement.

Work with cross-functional teams to establish a lean thinking culture.

Active involvement in the training process and assures that training is carried out within area of responsibility.

Develop metrics and methodologies that provide data for process measurement.

Collect and analyze data to support problem-solving.

Perform capacity modeling, cost and benefit analyses.

Serve as a change agent, challenging organizational leaders to drive change.

Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.

Manage staff to include hiring, coaching and development, performance reviews and disciplinary action as needed.

Required Skills:

Firm understanding of process improvement techniques and experience applying these if they are to make organizational changes.

Ability to spearhead both the planning and implementation stages of multiple projects, while being organized and committed to meeting deadlines.

Ability to coach and inspire other team members to give their best effort and setting the direction for many initiatives.

Strong skills in data manipulation including use of Excel, Power BI, etc.

Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal, written, phone, video, etc.).

Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational.

Sound administrative skills and project management mindset.

Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.

Self-starter, dynamic, hands-on with high sense of autonomy.

Ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders.

Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.

Required Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or related field and a minimum 5 years prior experience in similar position leading process improvement projects, implementing Lean tools and concepts.

Lean Transformation practitioner in areas such as 5S, standard work, cell design, 3P, Value Stream Mapping, Mistake Proofing, A-3 Problem Solving and Project Management.

Formal certification in continuous improvement and/or Lean methodologies preferred.

Track record of success in banking and/or finance environment preferred.
