Job Description

The Program Sourcing Leader is responsible to develop, implement and lead sourcing strategy and operating plan for our Invasive Cardiology & Lunar businesses. Scope of the job; $35M annual spend, 80+ suppliers worldwide. This role reports to the Program Sourcing Manager and fully integrated into Strategic Business units.

Essential Responsibilities

  • De-risk supplier base proactively, from identifying the risk to executing the mitigation plan, in partnership with the ICAR & Lunar business team

  • Identify, assess and select strategic suppliers for any NPI or Supplier Transfers and get suppliers ready to deliver targeted business requirements (Quality, Fulfillment, Cost and Cash) per the program milestones, in partnership with the Category Sourcing, Supplier management, Supply chain and Engineering teams.

  • Drive product costs down by 10%+ year over year through supplier negotiation and design change ideas, partnering with engineering/manufacturing, with a total cost mindset. Support logistic cost out initiative.

  • Lead suppliers through strategic partnership, establishing a win-win relationship, negotiating supplier agreements and driving supplier performance up through the installed base & its product lifecycle, including leading Supplier LTBs & claims with a proactive approach.

  • Support Supplier Quality, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements and support supplier & parts quality initiatives.

  • Optimize the part & material definitions at R&D stage to make it easier to source

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Qualifications/Requirements

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management

2.Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain.

3.Excellent business/financial acumen, ability to act as business partner through horizontal teams, with the ability to influence and drive change in a collaborative and effective way.

  1. Ability to drive long strategic partnership with suppliers and demonstrated experience in optimizing supplier base performance – Quality, Fulfillment, Cost, Cash and Contract

5.Ability to work with cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams
