Heritage Homes is currently seeking Resident Assistants for All shifts. Rotating weekend and holiday availability are required. Heritage Homes is a ministry of the Lutheran Home Association and is located in Watertown, WI. Job Description: Join our family and make a difference in an older adult's life while enriching your own in the process. Care-giving experience is desired, but not required. We will pay for your state required CBRF training and pay you for your time spent training, travel time and mileage. Starting pay based on experience with a shift and weekend differential of $1.00 for the PM/NOC shift. Shift Hours: AM shift: 6AM TO 2PM PM shift : 2pm to 10pm NOC shift: 10pm to 6am Duties include but are not limited to: Assist the client with personal cares which may include all or some of the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering, rubbing with lotions, fingernail cares and foot cares if instructed to do so by an RN, medication administration, redirection of a confused client, and other cares as assigned. Assist with dressing, grooming and oral cares as assigned. Assist in use of hearing aids and glasses for clients. Help each client to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence. Observe client and report changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. Medication administration or assistance with self-administration of medications as delegated by RN. Willing to help with special events, fill in for others to accommodate emergency situations. Assist in transporting residents to activities as needed. Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to LPN/RN. Attend in-service training as assigned. Assist with delivering meals to resident rooms as directed, following special meal plans in instructed. Dust, vacuum, mop and other cleaning and laundry chores as scheduled and assigned.
