Sonalysts, Inc. Submarine Tactical Development OPS Analyst in Waterford, Connecticut

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a submarine operations analyst to plan, execute and analyze Tactical Development Exercise and conduct analytical studies in support of the development and refinement of U.S. Submarine Force tactical doctrine at the Undersea Warfighting Development Center in Groton, CT.

    What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design, plan, execute and analyze at-sea tactical development exercise for the U.S. Submarine Force.

  • Lead operational analysis efforts and tactical studies in support of developing tactical employment guidance for current and future submarine systems and capabilities.

  • Design and execute modeling and simulation (M&S) studies to develop and refine tactical guidance.

  • Participate in the development of technical system level requirements for future submarine tactical capabilities and mission areas.

  • Your analysis will have a direct and positive impact on submarine and naval warfare planning, tactics, technologies, and training.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, engineering, operations research, applied science or other relevant degree program.

  • At least 3 years of experience in submarine tactical operations

  • U.S. citizenship and possess or be eligible for a US government (DoD) Top Secret clearance*

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a submarine officer (OOD) on an operational U.S. submarine

  • Experience in submarine navigation and tactical operations

  • Experience in operations research

*Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.
