Sunrise Engineering Civil Engineer in Washington, Utah

Sunrise is currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineer in our St. George, Utah office location. Project disciplines include water, wastewater, storm drain, irrigation, parks and recreation, land development, transportation, and general municipal services. General responsibilities will include:

  • Takes the lead on projects and supervises other engineers, EITs, drafters, and field personnel.

  • Works individually or participates as part of a team for larger-scale projects.

  • Manages engineering workload among the local team and with other Sunrise offices.

  • Assists in maintaining and strengthening client relationships.

  • Seeks development of new engineering service opportunities.

  • Assists in preparing statements of qualifications and proposals for new projects and clients.

  • Conducts studies and prepares written reports for clients.

  • Estimates costs and personnel and material needs for projects.

  • Designs and supervises construction projects.

  • Coordinates with funding agencies and regulatory agencies for financing and permitting of projects.

  • Contributes to the office culture through work ethic, creativity, and flexibility.

    Eligible candidates will have a four-year civil engineering degree, P.E. license preferred and 4+ years of experience working on municipal civil engineering projects with appropriate experience in the computer software normally employed in the civil engineering field. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Eligible candidates will demonstrate team leadership and technical design experience with emphasis on municipal civil engineering projects.
