Naval Facilities Engineering Command SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia
You will serve as a Supervisory Data Analyst in the Command Analytics Office, Strategic and Future Requirements Department, Business Directorate of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Headquarters.
You will supervise a small team of management and data scientist analysts on various projects, including case studies, data deep-dives, and process improvements.
You will promote innovation, expand knowledge management, and promulgate a data driven decision-making culture geared to improving command efficiency, effectiveness and pursuit of theoretical potential.
You will employ quantitative methods such as probability, statistics, and optimization to develop new processes and leverage staffing changes to develop models to better support the organizations requirements.
You will guide and coordinate your team to solve complex problems associated with business processes, organizational efficiencies, information management systems, operational performance, policy implementation, among others.
Conditions of Employment
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) conducting and facilitating business analysis of key business processes, internal/external business programs and supported commands' initiatives and events, for a large organizations' operations; 2) assisting in the development of new metrics and reports in support of the organization's strategic plan; 3)conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis aimed at identifying tangible results gained from implementation of organizational-level improvement initiatives (I.e., cost benefits, reduced cycle time, safety or quality enhancements, and return on investment); 4) maintaining database records for organizational programs, to be used in the evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency of organization operations; and 5)providing input for and/or developing, coordinating and preparing reports, briefs and presentations for management related to organization-wide initiatives.
