Fortune 100 IT company seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives. In collaboration with a diverse portfolio of stakeholders, including specific business units, relevant functional experts within the company, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) leadership, the Senior Director will advance corporate information technology modernization initiatives and will identify, prioritize, and lead international cloud computing business development opportunities.
The ideal candidate has expertise in cloud platforms and services, including procurement, infrastructure, deployment, scalability, security, compliance, workloads, licensing, and pricing models; institutional knowledge of cloud policy and regulatory bodies and their impact across a broad spectrum of business priorities; demonstrated success in achieving results in support of specific goals and objectives; and understands the importance of the role to the success of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated cloud and IT modernization expertise
Experience managing public sector-private sector partnerships and external resources
Experience staffing senior-level executives
Superior written, oral communication, and analytical skills
Established relationships with key policy makers in one or more key regions preferred
Experience in public policy, working with, serving, and / or influencing government agencies preferred
DESIRED SKILLS
Understanding of international cloud infrastructure business and policy with a focus on whole-of-government initiatives
Detail oriented, organized, and driven to follow-through and complete tasks
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including experience with conceptualizing and leading projects independently with minimal supervision
Commitment to acting at all times with the highest integrity, including strict adherence to applicable laws and company values, which go beyond legal compliance
Fluency in English plus one or more other languages
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Acts as an internal and external resource on international trade specifications, regulations, and legislation; that affect how, where, and to whom we conduct business.
Designs plans for government outreach by providing analysis of emerging or existing legislative public policy issues impacting the company. Gathers intelligence and assists in the preparation of position papers, policy briefings, presentations, and legislative testimony for pending legislative actions. Coordinates actions through strategic partners in government and industry communicating corporate positions and objectives. Projects may include implementation of public policy activities, government and industry lobbying efforts, advocating government funding initiatives and identifying new opportunities favorably advancing the company’s influence with the government.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. Ability to partner across functions and with all levels of management. 10 plus years relevant work experience. BS/BA degree.
