Responsibilities
Senior Consultant-Capital Projects are second level non-management consultants that will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. The Senior Consultant-Capital Project will own project workstreams and interact with the client daily to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. Senior Consultant-Capital Projects are expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. You will lead, coach and mentor consultants and ensure quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
Support federal programs in assessing the cost-effectiveness and economic impacts of transportation infrastructure and capital investments
Support clients in defining options for paying and delivering transportation investments
Provide policy support for transportation-related public private partnerships (P3s)
Provide data-driven guidance to clients to better evaluate transportation system performance and return on capital investments
Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client improvements
Participate in client meetings, clearly synthesize meeting minutes, and disseminate them to team members and clients
Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
4+ years of experience in transportation and capital projects consulting/research
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet and pass requirements for a Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the above listed requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, transportation planning, city planning, or relevant business/finance degree
Experience with capital project investments
Experience with public private partnerships
Experience in federal consulting
Experience working with transit agencies
Experience working with state departments of transportation
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
