As a member of the Facebook Payments Compliance Team, you will be leading a team and executing on large-scale projects in Payments Compliance area. You will be a mentor and coach to the team members and be part of the Global Payments Compliance team. You will interact with other Team Leads to continually help drive process innovation and operational excellence across Sanctions Operations in the Payments Compliance area. At times, you will work collaboratively with a dynamic group of cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, Product, Engineering, Finance and Marketing. You may have side projects to help create innovative scalable AML compliance systems and processes to harness the "transactional" power of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and other Facebook companies. You will help Facebook Payments ensure that its compliance policies, internal controls and systems help Facebook in its mission to "make the world more open and connected."Facebook Payments Inc. Work collaboratively with a dynamic group of cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, Product, Engineering, Finance and Marketing. You will lead projects to help create innovative scalable sanctions compliance systems and processes to harness the transactional power of Facebook Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and other Facebook companies
Interact with other teams to continually drive sanctions screening innovation and compliance
Promote a culture of compliance to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
Support the team and overarching Payments Compliance organization in researching and responding to regulatory and related requests and contributing to Sanctions Risk assessments as needed
Work cross functionally to ensure successful onboarding of new products on to the screening platforms and case management tools
Design and lead the sanctions process area, provide thought leadership, cross functional partnership, defining and executing for a best in class global operating model that provides a smooth onboarding process with both, vertical and horizontal scalability
Create and oversee a sanctions optimization program that will continually work to reduce the impact of unproductive alerts for new and existing screening customers, while ensuring continued effectiveness
Work cross-functionally to gather data and perform pre-onboarding simulations for the purposes of noise reduction
Build a pre-list update process to verify impact of screening list updates and opportunities for noise reduction prior to production implementation
Lead, train, and nurture team to ensure continued success
Track, monitor and escalate key results for the department and help the department achieve its key performance indicators (KPI’s)
10+ years’ experience in a compliance department or other internal control function at a financial services company in an operational function
2+ years’ experience in managing teams of two or more
Experience as a team lead on cross-functional projects demonstrating impact, and influencing and leading organizational change
Experience interacting with other process leads, cross-functional teams and leaders of the department
Experience building relationships and experience working collaboratively as part of a team
