Spectrum is seeking a Director, Business Development. As an integral part of our New Business & Marketing Team, the individual will need to have strong writing ability, attention to detail, analytical skills, and be able to collaborate across practice areas managing multiple projects. The candidate in this position should possess an entrepreneurial spirit that can operate independently in a fast-paced environment. The Director, Business Development is expected be proactive, prioritize individual and practice group responsibilities, and deliver solution driven thinking to senior leadership.
The Director, Business Development will support Spectrum in prospecting and taking a central role in our business development process. This role will interface with prospective clients and various team members. This role will work closely with our Marketing Director, especially on the marketing of the agency.
Job Responsibilities :
Analyze inbound inquiries, evaluate prospects, and outline requirements for internal team
Helps to initiate RFP/proposal kick off, team assignments and additional needs as appropriate
Partner with practice leader to interpret the ask
Manage internal teams to support proposal creation and logistics
Ensure all final versions of pitch materials and case studies are added to Spectrum?s database
Create case studies and other collateral that showcase our agency?s results for prospective clients
Support and conduct research around RFPs for various new client opportunities
Uses new insights and prior knowledge to sell Spectrum?s unique and evolving capabilities to prospective clients
Conduct media/email outreach campaigns, qualify and track leads and lead introductory calls
Help shape marketing efforts through content generation and collaborative management of awards submissions
Desired Skills and Qualifications
A Bachelor?s degree
5-7 years of relevant experience within an advertising or PR agency; prior experience working with healthcare clients is a plus
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
A passion for healthcare; and an understanding of the trends and news shaping the industry
Strong project management skills including timeline creation and management of cross-functional interwoven teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A proven track record of developing and delivering creative projects with demanding deadlines
Highly collaborative, professional demeanor
Resourceful and effective problem solver
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with PowerPoint and MS Office suite is a must.
