Guidehouse Cybersecurity consultants help our clients solve complex technology and business issues from strategy through execution. A successful cybersecurity consultant at Guidehouse displays the following traits: flexibility, curiosity, ability to learn quickly, ability to think critically, strong communication skills (written & verbal) and have a grasp of a variety of technical concepts. At Guidehouse our Cybersecurity Solutions Team (CST) is part of the firm’s Advanced Solutions Group led by John Hunt. The CST is focused on the following areas:

• Incident Response

• Cyber Resilience

• Identity and Access Management

• Strategy and Security Architecture

• CISO Support

This is a senior associate role and relationship with a client that Guidehouse will want to keep as a resource in the HVA Solution Team so the team can continue to develop the relationship and grow business within the mission. Requirement is to support High Value Asset Program operations, including Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) management, HVA assessment management and result analysis, application of NIST CSF Maturity Model to improve HVA Program to desired level of maturity, increase operational efficiency and effectiveness, and perform enterprise [cyber] risk management to improve the cybersecurity posture of the agency’s HVA enterprise, cybersecurity capability gap analysis, capability requirement development

Qualifications

Minimum Years of Experience: 4

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Security Clearance Required: Public Trust

  • Working knowledge of and experience leveraging NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)

  • Working knowledge of OMB M-19-03 Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Agencies by enhancing the High Value Asset Program

  • Working knowledge of DHS BOD 18-02 Securing High Value Assets

  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-53r4 Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations

  • Working knowledge of and experience with JCIDS process, Capability-Based Assessment, and Analysis of Alternative

  • Understanding of Security Information Enterprise Management (SIEM) Technologies, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management

  • Understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)

  • Understanding of Cybersecurity Program Management

  • Understanding of Cybersecurity Metrics (KPI, KRI)
