The Customer Business Development Director – position will report to the VP of Defense Americas and is responsible for growing the pipeline of sales opportunities at their assigned customers and programs with emphasis on NGAD, ABMS, APNT, and Cyber. In addition, support legacy airborne and surface platform SLEPs and upgrades as well as growing content on Honeywell PBLs. All efforts with a focus on strategic capture of new business opportunities and displacing competitors and tracking this pipeline through SFDC. The Customer Business Development Director will be Honeywell’s representative at the assigned customers and will grow strong relationships on both the technical and executive level that will position Honeywell for long term positive relationships within the assigned customers including USAF PEOs and NAVAIR. The Customer Business Development Director will be an expert in assigned customer platforms, Honeywell content, Honeywell capabilities and in doing so will understand the business and competitive environment with those customers and will be able to identify and close short term and long term growth opportunities for Honeywell. Travel up to 30% may be required.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 10 years Defense industry (Or DOD/ Government equivalence) product and sales knowledge experience
Minimum of 5 years technical sales leadership experience (Or DOD/ Government equivalence) with a track record of driving revenue growth
Must have or be eligible for a security clearance due to contractual requirements.
Master’s degree preferred
Previous Military Service or Government employee beneficial
DOD Acquisition and/or Pentagon experience
Artillery, Cyber, Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous platforms, Inertial Navigation and/or DOD C4ISR Network experience
Experience in leading cross functional teams
Strong business acumen
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well presentation skills
