DCG Communications Account Executive in Washington, District Of Columbia
DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking an organized, thorough, and?proactive Communications Specialist (Account Executive) to develop a wide variety of internal communications products on behalf of our federal client to forge and strengthen their bond with employees and stakeholders. The Specialist will work with a team of communications professionals, to include project managers and graphic designers.
The specialist will develop content to provide continual engagement with the client?s audiences based on their preferred messaging, channels, formats, and outreach, to support the client and increase awareness and participation in its programs. This may include but is not limited to web content, strategic communications plans, newsletters, agency-wide email campaigns, factsheets and flyers.
Location: Currently the entire DCG team is working virtually due to COVID-19. Once it is safe to return, the Communications Specialist (Account Executive) will be required to work on client site in Washington, DC 4 days per week.
Bachelor?s degree, preferably in journalism or communications
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience supporting communications and marketing campaigns, preferably at a public relations firm/agency
Proven experience writing web content
Experience writing and distilling information for a variety of audiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in internal communications planning and implementation
Experience developing internal communications such as strategic communications plans, newsletters, email campaigns, website stories and content, factsheets and flyers
Demonstrate strong writing skills for content generation
Proven to have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage a diverse workload
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively as a team
Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Additional responsibilities of the Communications Specialist:
Possesses strong writing skills to contribute to external and client-facing documents
Takes?initiative to communicate proactively internally with line manager (supervisor), project manager and team members
Proactively reaches out to team members (e.g., to brainstorm; discuss approach/delegation of duties, coordinate deliverables, etc.)

- Masters and consistently uses all required technology for the assigned role (CRM tools, digital trackers, monitoring services, etc.)
