We are hiring a Sales Development Representative to join our Sales department at GeekHive. This position will report to our Sr. Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for working with the Marketing and Sales teams to contact prospective sales leads, qualify them, and set appointments for GeekHive Account Executives.
Follow up on inbound marketing generated leads from the website, trade shows, and other marketing events and programs to qualify leads and set appointments for GeekHive Account Executives.
Identify customer?s business needs and communicate how GeekHive?s offerings can address those needs; collaborate with the Sales team on account strategy, demand generation activities, delivery plans, and results.
Make extensive use of successful prospecting techniques to evangelize GeekHive's solution portfolio, generate customer interest, and provide a targeted value proposition.
Follow-up with potential customers on marketing leads via phone, email and linkedin in order to qualify and schedule meetings with the sales team.
Pre and post-event outreach. Contact potential attendees of events and tradeshows to speak about GeekHive and the event. Post-event contact to follow up with attendees and schedule meetings with the sales team.
Participate in daily sales standup meetings to speak to outreach activity and update the sales team on potential sales leads.
Participate in partner calls to identify new prospects.
Utilize discoverorg.com and Linkedin to identify companies and individuals to reach out to.
Record all contact activity in salesforce and maintain current and accurate records.
3-5 years of lead generation and/or inbound/outbound technology sales experience.
Knowledge of CRM, CMS, marketing automation, eCommerce and analytics.
Ability to understand the needs and pains of the customer and link them to GeekHive solutions.
Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels within an organization.
Positive attitude, resilience and an ability to overcome objections with grace and confidence.
Ability to identify opportunities and creatively engage prospects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Knowledge of sales techniques and sales and marketing systems like Salesforce.com and Marketo.
Basic technical understanding is strongly preferred (in areas such as software development lifecycles as well as Content Management Systems (CMS) and how they are used will be beneficial.
