ABOUT THE ROLE
The Consumer & Market Insights team is currently looking for a motivated and driven CMI Manager to lead the Beauty and Personal Care Insight agenda across the Eastern Europe region . The CMI function’s mission is to inspire, provoke and drive transformation action/growth. In this role you will contribute to delivering the CMI mission by being the CMI business partner to the Local Eastern Europe Marketing Business Lead for Beauty and Personal Care.
You will be a key business partner within the local category leader, with the remit to use insight to drive the strategic direction and decisions in the category. You will be responsible for the identification and translation of consumer needs, insights and behaviours to guide the local marketing category strategy, category & brand performance, communication and innovation marketing initiatives and for consumer guidance and delivery in the local market(s).
Offer foresight rather than just insight, by proactively identifying consumer and market trends, and using these to shape the strategy moving forward.
Be independent and deliver fact based, objective views of the business, providing inspirational and credible recommendations to business partners.
Support the Eastern Europe Beauty and Personal Care business lead by creating and driving the annual CMI workplan.
Responsiblity for delivering insight that shapes and enables delivery of the country/cluster innovation & growth agenda, working across Eastern Europe markets.
Create partnerships and collaborate with a wide spectrum of local business teams, agencies, CMI expertise teams to deliver against business needs
Identify & land country & channel trends, de-averaging opportunities and pricing & promotional insights for the markets
Support the insight Agenda with CD with regard to BPC questions, where appropriate partnering with CMI specialist functions.
Provide insight to drive and evaluate our media plans.
Represent the voice of the consumer within the BPC brand teams through driving a strong local consumer connect programme.
Leverage agency relationship with key research partners across Eastern Europe ensuring that we are driving strong insights and maximising ROI.
You are expected to be fully operational in the higher order business partnering skills, particularly on Showing the Business How and Where to Win, and Bringing Integrated Consumer and Shopper Insights into the Business,
You should also have a depth of experience on Understanding Market Research Fundamentals, and Mastering Market Research Techniques.
This role requires strong leadership skills (team development and external agency leadership) and business partnership skills (demonstrable track record of outstanding partnership with business partners and stakeholders, communication, OTIF delivery, strong point of view, identification of growth opportunities).
It is imperative that that the candidate have broad CMI experience and depth across people leadership, business partnering, understanding core business processes and business acumen.
A strong team player and ‘Can Do’ mentality is key to success in this role. There will be a requirement to sometimes work outside of the Beauty and Personal Care Category and collaborate on cross category projects.
Open-ness to new techniques and Digital capabilities: As we are in the digital era, openness to new methods and techniques, the spirit of experimentation, learning new skills specially in driving the delivery of some of our key assets like PDC into the business and being up-to-date on various CMI initiatives like Digital Mandatories, etc. will be important for a leader in CMI at this time.
