The Opportunity
We're looking for a Scientist I , working in the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products industry in Waltham, Massachusetts .
Job Description:
Performs in vitro and in vivo drug metabolism studies for discovery projects in various R&D portfolios
Prepares routine in vitro samples for metabolism or MetID studies including but not limit to incubation with hepatocytes, liver microsomes or other biological matrices and processing of samples using protein precipitation, evaporating or concentrating samples.
Aids in performing routine tissue exposure, tissue binding and biomarker analysis in biological matrix including process the samples for LC-MS analysis
Assists the supervisor in maintaining documentation, safety inspection, and instrument log books
Maintains general lab reagents and supplies inventory
Operates and maintains LC/MS systems

Experience Required for Your Success
Requirements:
BS or BA degree with 4-7 years of experience, OR
PhD with 1-3 years experience
Required Skills:
Industrial experience in conducting drug metabolism studies using hepatocytes and liver microsomes is a must
Strong technical skills in handling hepatocytes, cells, and other biological matrices is required
Experience in operating and maintaining LC and Thermo Scientific Orbitrap or AB Sciex triple-quadruple mass spectrometers is a plus
Prior experience in Analyst® and Watson® software for quantitative analysis and automation using Tecan liquid handling system for drug metabolism assays is a plus
Records in strong technical writing skill as evidenced by research paper, conference presentation, and patent publications, etc.

The pay range we are offering is 20 to 24 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.
