Join an award-winning company when you POWER your future with CE Power as our Senior Electrical Engineer, focused on NERC testing and studies.The Senior Engineer position is responsible for overseeing and executing power systems study and design projects from start to finish in compliance with industry and company standard practices. The bulk of these projects will be related to NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) testing and studies. The Senior Engineer will be involved in jobroject estimation, initiation, planning, execution, final delivery, and closeout. Additional responsibilities include providing technical and sales support to others inside the companyPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESulliMust have detailed knowledge and experience related to NERC related testing and studies./liliAbility to act in a self-driven mode in the development of AC and DC test plans, work with CAD staff to develop and/or update client electrical drawings, and interface with the customer as needed to secure the necessary information./li/ululliReview field data and perform coordination, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies./li/ululliProvide quality-control checks with other Engineers on the development and execution of related documents./liliAbility to remain current on all safety and technical training and maintain a clear and proven safety track record./li/ululliAdhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards./li/ululliProvide clearly written, concise, and technically accurate guidance to the engineering team./liliAbility to effectively convey technical data in an understandable manner to non-technical clients and co-workers./liliProvide on-call phone support to clients and co-workers./li/ululliLead interaction with other functions and locations to determine optimum solutions, including interfacing with Account Managers on development of scope-of-work documentation and the associated cost worksheet./li/ululliDemonstrate skills in software interfacing with SEL, GE-Multilin, and ABB protective relays./liliDemonstrate skills in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting microprocessor relays in distribution, generation, and transmission environments./liliDemonstrate skills in hands-on use of power system simulators such as Omicron CMC series or Doble F Series./li/ululliParticipate in Project Kickoff meetings to discuss in detail work scope, project specifications, budgets, schedules, and safety requirements with project team./liliWork directly with clients and communicate client needs to project team members./liliAssess project specific resource needs, coordinate assignments with project manager, and manage expenses against project budgets and make recommendations to reduce expenses./liliCoordinate with the Engineering Manager on the master engineering resource schedule as well as forecast upcoming engineering requirements/needs including non-job-related training schedules./liliEnsure timely and accurate invoicing for all engineering projects by provi
