U.S. Pipe, A Forterra Company Supply Chain Analyst in United States

Under direct supervision, engage in specific Supply Chain-related assignments.

  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning process by collecting and analyzing data and other activities that improve integration of sales, operations, and financial plans.

  • Use ERP and other data sources to identify cost saving opportunities for purchased finish product, such as economic order quantity and working capital utilization for all finished goods.

  • Develop and report key supply chain metrics including the creation of supply chain dashboard(s).

  • Coordinate Supply Chain continuous improvement initiatives (CI Projects).

  • Document best planning practices for ERP (SAP & NAV) and audit MRP settings for compliance.

  • Review existing Supply Chain written procedures. Edit & create new where necessary.

  • Support Supply Chain initiatives as needed, such as the implementation of an Integrated Business Planning Tool.

  • Provide refresher buyer/planner training to current employees and for new hires across the organization in regards to leading practice buying strategies.

  • Crosstrain with Demand planner and act as their backup.

  • Perform other duties as required by the Director of Integrated Business Planning, such as providing coverage for absent Buyer/Planners.

Requires a Bachelor degree Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or General Business. 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The employee will be working in an office environment, infrequent business travel required. The employee will also be exposed occasionally to plant facilities and yards (heat, cold, noise, dust, and machinery).
