SENIOR SPECIALIST, SCHEDULING/PLANNING
Under general supervision, the Senior Specialist, Scheduling/Planning solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices within scheduling and project controls. The incumbent will use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
This position is located on-site at a large Chemical plant. No Per Diem will be offered. COVID-19 social distancing and travel restrictions may be in place at time of hire and may require remote working for a some or all required work until further notice.
RESPONSIBILITES
Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling
Will support scheduling activities on $15-$20MM major projects on FEL through Commissioning
Coordinates with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply
Provides priorities for projects to guarantee completion
Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis
Take a scope of work and estimate a build a schedule that construction can follow in the field
REQUIREMENTS
4-6+ years scheduling/planning experience on engineering and construction projects
Must have working knowledge of Primavera, detailed construction scheduling with the ability to track quantities/progress in field to level 4/5
Must have intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team
Will comply with all KBR and site safety policies and procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is located at a chemical plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes
Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots
Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc
Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs
May require walking the plant property
