Raytheon Technologies Senior Contracts Negotiator (Principal Specialist, Contracts) in United States

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Contracts Specialist to join our team remotely or in McKinney, Texas. This Principal Contracts Specialist will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to support the Reconnaissance and Targeting Systems (RTS) product area within the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems (http://onertn.ray.com/businesses/sas/missionareas/isrs/index.html) product line.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of cutting edge Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensor development programs for a variety of customer platforms and missions. This role includes management of a large, strategic fixed price development effort. The candidate will also support Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) of the Electro-Optical Tracking System (EOTS) to Korea, India, Saudi Arabia, and other nations.

Responsibilities will include strategy formulation for new business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Candidates must be able to adapt in a challenging, fast-paced environment dealing with complex contracting matters. This includes working independently with minimal oversight, researching compliance issues, interpreting regulations, and formulating recommendations. Candidates must be effective team members and have sound oral and written communication skills.

Required Skills / Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years, or equivalent, of experience in contract management, negotiations, finance, supply chain, program management, or related fields.

  • Ability to solve problems, develop solutions, and assist the business leaders in achieving their financial and performance objectives.

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

    Desired Skills:

  • High level of critical/analytical thinking skills and sound business judgement.

  • Excellent understanding of the financial aspects of contract and other business arrangements.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Experience providing support to front-end strategic assessment of business pursuits.

  • Experience acting as the primary customer interface during all phases of contract performance.

  • Financial understanding of rate structures and pricing strategies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate.

  • Excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Acquisition Regulations Supplement.
