SUMMARY:

Coordinate with inspection, testing and quality operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications and quality processes and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to all times

  • Provide continual evaluation of the group`s processes and methods, to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.

  • Provide day to day supervision of employee job execution, to include training, performance evaluation and employee relations.

  • Continually monitor and control inspection operations to ensure compliance with applicable quality control documents.

  • Assure accurate records such as traceability, process control, function test, demonstrations, etc., are maintained.

  • Assure test function is performed in a manner consistent with applicable requirements and quality procedures.

  • Maintain and enforce quality standards.

  • Provide timely incoming inspection (materials, steel structures, capital equipment, mechanical parts).

  • Create Inspection and Test Plan for project.

  • Control and organize timely quality inspection in accordance with Inspection and Test plan in the shops.

  • Control of outsourcing quality activity ( as non-destructive examination or load test)

  • Create work instructions for testing and control.

  • Monitor calibration status of used measuring equipment.

  • Create Non-conformance reports, when required. Provide marking and isolation of nonconforming products/ parts.

  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Test and create Final Punch list for Rig

  • Support Documentation team in compiling MRB.

  • Comply with HSE and Quality policies and procedures

  • Perform other work related task as assigned.

  • Good understanding of the Company Quality Management System

  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings; AWS D1.1 inspection criteria; and understanding material specifications and requirements

  • Acceptable skills in use of inspection and measuring equipment

  • Good computer skills

  • Good skills in oral and written communications, fluent English

  • Organized, detailed and accurate in work assignments

Quality Assurance

Carry out all duties in accordance with the QMS procedures and Work Instructions.

Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.

Training

Participate in training where required.

Health, Safety and Environment

Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction.

To be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.

Qualification, knowledge and experience:

  • Graduate of a recognized university or technology institute with a bachelor’s degree or Diploma (4 years regular) in Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineering discipline.

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector.

  • NACE or BGas Certified Coating Inspector level II.

  • 7 years minimum experience in Inspection & Testing, preferably with Fabrication Company

  • Minimum of 5 years welding based work experience
