Position Summary:  

The Quality Control Department is responsible for evaluating the quality of NFM’s mortgage production as well as to detect possible fraud and misrepresentation. To ensure loans conform to the policies and guidelines of NFM and various agencies including but not limited to: FNMA, Freddie Mac, GNMA, as well as other insurers or guarantors.  To ensure the loans conform to local, state and federal laws and regulations. The QC Auditor I position is responsible for providing detailed mortgage file compliance reviews for pre-funding audits in accordance with Company and agency requirements, as well as other assigned QC projects as determined by the Chief Risk Officer.


Essential Job Functions:  

Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform detailed pre-funding and/or post-closing loan file reviews.

  • Ensure loans comply with state & federal requirements as they pertain to TILA, RESPA, Regulation B, ECOA, FHA, VA & USDA guidelines

  • Perform risk analysis to detect and prevent fraud.

  • Identify and report trends and training opportunities.

  • Maintain company quality and daily production expectations.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Specific Knowledge Requirements:

  • Current working knowledge of compliance guidelines and requirements, including but not limited to: TILA, RESPA, ECOA, Reg B, FHA, VA, & USDA disclosure requirements

  • Knowledge of mortgage compliance rules and regulations.

  • Knowledge of Encompass or (equivalent mortgage software.)
