Job Title : Associate, Aircraft Maintenance (GSE Technician)
Location : OCONUS
Requisition : IMS20211201-54992
Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair as required for powered and non-powered ground support equipment
(GSE) and components. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspects, tests, and operates GSE to
determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Work is performed on a variety of aircraft ground support
platforms, such as aircraft power carts, aircraft movement vehicles, ground aircraft air conditioners, and heaters. The
classification requires a thorough knowledge of the mechanical, electrical makeup and operation of both powered
and non-powered GSE. Accountable for the removal, disassemble, repair, clean, treatment for corrosion as required,
reassemble, and reinstallation of GSE accessories and components. Must be familiar with and capable of operating
complex troubleshooting, testing and repair equipment such as, but not limited to, load banks, impedance bridges, multimeters
and flow meter panels. Complies with established safety procedures and operations manuals for the equipment.
Complies with government and program directives and policies.
Required Education and Experience :
Associates degree and 6 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to be considered.
Formal technical civilian or military training in maintenance and repair of automotive or GSE equipment is preferred.
Experience in the use of common hand and special tools/testers as required for GSE maintenance is required.
Experience in support of OCONUS operations is preferred.
Requires a current driver's license.
Ability to read, speak, and write English language.
Ability to work with a wide range of technical reference material from commercial/OEM manuals.
Applicant must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain secret level security clearance.
Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds
Must be in good physical condition capable of physical demands or activities to include climbing, standing, bending,
stooping, pushing, kneeling, reaching and walking.
- Additional duties include supporting warehouse functions of shipping, receiving, stocking, and loading/unloading of parts,
equipment and support materials as required.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship .
