Summary:

This position will be responsible for recognizing, finding and developing viable game concepts and then managing the creation of games, including scheduling, production, testing, and roll-out of the game. This position will be responsible for managing a number of projects at one time, ensuring that each product takes full advantage of the target platform and meet the PopCap uncompromising quality standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with development team to set, assign, manage and complete design and production tasks

  • Understand the “soul” of an existing game and become a primary advocate for the game in the company, and passionately articulate goals and team principles to help form a stimulating and fun work environmen

  • Create specifications to communicate a projects vision, short and long term goals, budget, and schedule to development teams, and communicate project status to management

  • Facilitate communication within the team, and with other departments in order to anticipate and resolve problems to keep the project moving forward

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure projects are being developed on time, on budget, and at an acceptable level of quality and polish

  • Bridge the gap between PopCap internal studio and outside developers by communicating creative feedback, bugs, and schedule expectations between the two teams

Required Skills/Personal Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a producer or project manager in the games industry

  • A good understanding of games, with the ability to identify flaws in design, art, and “feel”

  • Strong communication and writing skills, with experience communicating both creative and technical feedback

  • Good understanding of the game development process, from planning and budgeting through final release

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and projects

  • Casual game industry experience

Education and/or Certifications:

  • BA in Computer Science and/or related field and experience
