PK currently has exciting opportunities for an Enterprise Data Steward that would like to join our team as a full-time employee. Locations for this position include: Bloomfield CT, New York NY, Franklin Lakes NJ, McLean VA, Raleigh NC, Denver CO, Austin TX, Chicago IL, Nashville TN, Chattanooga, TN, Phoenix AZ, Pittsburgh PA

The Enterprise Data Steward - Customer Data Domain requires a candidate with strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper use/consumption, data quality, and stewardship. In this highly visible role you will partner with partner with business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented for each data domain.

  • Lead a cross-organizational team of subject matter experts to evolve Enterprise Data Standards (EDS), including:

  • Business Terms

  • Business Definitions

  • Enterprise Standard Code Sets (ESCS)

  • Critical Data Elements (CDE)

  • Business Rules

  • Partner with Data Architects and business SMEs to create and maintain a Business Data Model (BDM) for each data domain that is aligned across the enterprise and manage Cigna's data glossary for assigned domains

  • Lead management, maintenance and governance of assigned data domain standards

  • Work collaboratively with business and IT partners across business units to implement data standards

  • Lead creation and approval processes of enterprise data standards

  • Provide consultative stewardship services to agile delivery teams and ensure data stewardship best practices

  • Participate in data steward communities of practice and represent Cigna as a member of industry workgroups

  • 5+ years’ experience as a healthcare professional, Data Steward, Data Quality Analyst and/or Business Analyst

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with healthcare terminology, concepts and business processes and systems within Customer, Provider, Client (Buyer), and Producer (Intermediary) data domains

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations

  • Experience with data analysis, data governance, data quality, business data modeling and/or reporting

  • Experience with SAS, SQL and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required

  • Experience working in Agile project management (SAFe experience a plus)
