Bob's Discount Furniture eCommerce QA Specialist in United States

Bob’s is looking for an eCommerce savvy individual to join our team as an eCommerce QA Specialist. As the eCommerce QA Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be to work to increase the efficiency of online sales by performing User Acceptance Testing to ensure the usability and functionality of mybobs.com and its feature set. The eCommerce QA Specialist must have the aptitude and capability to systematically test website functionality, as part of the development cycle, while consistently keeping user experience and best web practices in mind. This individual will join the current QA team at Bob’s and report directly to Bob’s eCommerce QA Manager. We are allowing temporary remote work arrangements due to COVID. Responsibilities

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing of the functional requirements on our e-commerce site across multiple browsers and devices

  • Identify and track bugs and improvements by entering tickets for developers

  • Create test cases, perform manual/automated testing, and log defects.

  • Report to the eCommerce QA Manager – test cycle results and metrics, etc.

  • Assist in developing new UAT test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts

  • Collaborate with the rest of the e-commerce team to ensure the quality of delivered website builds as well as ensuring timely bug, error and improvement tracking

  • Outline and analyze potential issues by identifying fringe use cases and gaps in the testing procedure

  • Responsible for ongoing continuous improvement to build testing efficiency and effectiveness through the use of innovative QA practices and automation tools

  • Should be able to analyze the quality of the product before rolling to customers by analyzing and validating defect leakages

  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project architecture and business requirements of product and build manual/automation test strategy and test plans

  • Work closely with QA manager, project managers, scrum masters, and other business users to determine acceptance criteria for testing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools preferably JIRA

  • Knowledge of Selenium suite of tools like Selenium IDE, Selenium RC, Selenium Grid and Selenium WebDriver

  • Technical Skill Set: Selenium Web driver API (2-3 years of experience), IDE: Preferably Eclipse, Build Automation Tools: Maven

  • Knowledge of Java Programming concepts like file handling, exception handling, database operations and OOPS concepts

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite

  • Working knowledge of web/software development lifecycle and bug/issue resolution procedures and processes

  • Understanding of regression and functional testing

  • Have an eye for user-centric design and user experience

  • Knowledge of web browser-specific functionalities and features

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and actively with development, content, marketing & operations teams

  • Ability to effectively manage time, multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Ability to effectively manage your time across multiple projects

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience with leading e-commerce platforms preferably Hybris

  • 2-3 years of manual and automation test preparation and execution experience (preferably within the e-commerce industry)

  • Hands-on Experience of Automation Framework Creation and Optimization

Nice-to-have

  • Experience building automation systems that have been successful in reducing the manual testing

  • 1-2 years of experience in software development

  • Hands-on Experience of API Testing Tools like Postman, JMeter, SOAP UI.

  • Experience of Web Analytics & Attribution platforms like Google Analytics in doing Site analysis leveraging
