The Health Sciences District is also home to the University Health building , TMC’s beautiful specialty outpatient clinics and day-surgery center. We will soon open University Health 2, which will house all of our primary care and women’s care clinics.
TMC/UH Lakewood is located between Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families. TMC/UH Lakewood specializes in high-risk maternal and child care, and serves as one of the few Kansas City metro area institutions accredited by The Joint Commission in Orthopedics and Palliative Care. It also is home to a 188-bed, fully accredited long-term care center.
TMC/UH Behavioral Health is the KC metro area’s largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The Healing Canvas Building, located in Kansas City’s vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services. We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics. We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations.
Job DescriptionResponsible for leading and mentoring a variety of project activities relating to improved patient outcomes and organizational performance focusing on a combination of improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma. Co-designs (with stakeholders including patients) project/program plans that align with standards set forth by accreditation/regulatory agencies and with the Annual Business Plan. Provides education on continuous improvement methodology and tools as well as provide data analysis support to the organization for the improvement of systems and processes.
Minimum Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in health care, business management, or equivalent experience 2. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification of Training (can be completed through TMC Training Commitment Agreement) 3. Two years of progressive experience in health care 4. Practical understanding of integrative thinking and systems thinking 5. Project management skills; Organized and able to balance competing priorities. 6. Strong qualitative and/or quantitative analysis expertise 7. Excellent communication skills including facilitation and training competency 8. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Visio, and Power Point.
Preferred: 1. Five years of experience in a health care organization 2. Supervisory experience 3. Project Management or other related certification
