Project Planner/Scheduler- Minimum of 2 years experience

POSITION SUMMARY: The Construction Scheduler with help build, maintain and provide reports for multiple construction project schedules. The Scheduler will work closely with the Scheduling Manager and Project Superintendents to input status updates, incorporate changes & delays, and analyze project progress. At times, the Scheduler will coordinate with project m anagers, project engineers, consultants, and other departments to collect schedule data .


  • Collect and input status updates

  • Attend progress meetings as needed

  • Identify changes to the project schedule

  • Notify teams of impacts to critical path activities

  • Ensure technical schedule integrity is maintained

  • Produce and distribute weekly and monthly schedules, forecasts, and reports

  • Manage Outlook distribution lists & standard form emails

  • Maintain project schedule archives & documentation


  • Standing/Walking: 25% of workday

  • Sitting: 75% of workday

  • Hands/Arms : Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use

  • Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far-range vision

  • Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person , over the telephone and radio

  • Speech : S ufficient to make oneself heard in person, and be understood over the telephone and radio

  • Lift/carry : up to 40 pounds - minimal

  • Bending/Twisting : minimal


  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required

  • Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments

  • Must use independent judgment, and organizational and problem - solving skills to determine the best method to accomplish desired results

  • Must be able to plan and organize work

  • Must be able to read/write/speak English and communicate with coworkers


  • Minimum of 2 years experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience

  • Educational background in materials and methods of construction

  • Proficient general computer skills and experience ( typing, emails, etc )

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to follow procedures

  • Ability to recognize patterns & trends

  • Collaborative attitude, focused on supporting the team

  • Attention to detail

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Willingness to learn and master new software and concepts

  • Self-motivated, takes initiative


  • Degree, certification, or experience in construction-related field, office management, or data management

  • Previous use of Microsoft Project, Suretrak , Primavera P6, or other scheduling software

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings

  • Knowledge of contract procedures and principles
