The USC Department of Dermatology wishes to recruit a mid-career, academic dermatologist with expertise in Immunodermatology. The successful candidate will have a solid track record of clinical expertise, publications in the peer-reviewed scientific medical literature with a focus on Immunodermatology, invitations to lecture on Immunodermatology by local, regional, national and international institutions, and previous or current grant funding in autoimmune bullous diseases. The position includes seeing complex medical patients at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, teaching medical students and residents, and developing clinical research programs in autoimmune bullous diseases that emphasize state-of-the-art, novel therapies such as immunoapheresis. Predominant expertise in the following areas is a high priority: (i) broad knowledge in the diagnosis and care of patients with autoimmune bullous diseases comprising experience in the treatment of patients with immunoapheresis as well as (ii) strong experience in experimental and clinical research in the field of autoimmune bullous diseases, including knowledge in designing and implementing clinical studies.
