Kona Brewing Company is searching for an Associate Brand Manager to join the Kona Marketing team. This position reports into a remote team, and is fully remote. Candidates from any US location will be considered.
The Associate Brand Manager is involved in the planning, insights and new product development aspect within the Kona Marketing team. Reporting to the Sr. Brand Manager, this position helps deliver insights, analyze data and make recommendations to ensure the long term success of the brand. Working closely with various stakeholders, this position will help bring new products to life from ideation to final product in market. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, analytical and comfortable with complexity.
Work closely with the Sr. Brand Manager to develop annual strategic brand marketing plans and the tactical implementation and execution of these plans. The Associate Brand Manager will primarily assist in the following areas:
Supports product volume analysis, industry analysis and competitive analysis to continuously monitor portfolio performance and support Stage Gate proposals
Supports the Kona Sr Brand Manager – Strategy & Innovation to manage Kona’s product and package lines to maximize the performance of each product in the portfolio, including the development of new products, sku rationalization and new product testing.
Project owner for all Brand-owned aspects of New Product Development process, ensuring Kona products launch on time, and within project scope
Tracks the budget for the Kona Innovation Team, and regularly reports spend vs budget to Sr. Brand Manager
Works closely with the Kona’s Consumer & Retail brand team to consult on product-focused digital/social/trade advertising, media, retail and on premise programs, and the Kona brand website and CRM program from development through on-time execution
Works closely with Kona’s Associate Brand Manager - Retail in the development and execution of new point of sale materials to support products and product launches
Supports the sales team to develop product-led and/or channel specific programs, sell sheets and other selling materials focused on building strong brand images and sales momentum of specific products.
Work closely with High End sales and Key Account Managers to develop and execute annual retail promotion plans, focused on product launches & ongoing product-specific support
As needed, supports consumer testing of products and packaging for commercial release to support development of a strong consumer-led Kona portfolio
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field required.
2 years experience in Brand Marketing
Strong verbal communication skills
Demonstrable time management and organizational skills
Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone
Knowledge of the beer/alcohol industry
