The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Medical Genetics, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics.

The candidatewillbeworkingwith a team ofdedicatedphysicians, metabolic nutritionist, nurse,genetic counselors, and socialworkerat Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.Clinical and translational research opportunities are also available. The successful candidate will have clinical and teaching responsibilities. Independent research is strongly encouraged. There are several research/clinical/education tracks available, depending upon the qualifications and interest of the applicant.

In addition to our outpatient activities, our inpatient service is closely involvedwithgenetic and metabolicpatients in the neonatal andpediatricintensivecareunits and other hospital wards. Weprovide close consultative supportforbabies, childrenand adolescentswitha wide variety of complex and rare disorders.We havegrowing fetal-maternal, telemedicine, and cardiogenomiccenters aswell as opportunitiesforexpansion of our neurogenetic multidisciplinary program. We encourage thedevelopment of otherclinicalmultispecialtyprograms commensurate with the interest of the candidate. The applicant must have anMD/DO and be board certified in pediatrics or other primary care specialty. Inaddition,thesuccessful candidatemust beboardcertified oreligible inclinicalgenetics.
