Position Summary:

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) invites candidates for a nine-month Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Western Carolina University’s (WCU) CAA accredited CSD program. Expected begin work date is August 1, 2021. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until a candidate has been selected for hire.

Responsibilities include teaching, conducting research, and supervising/advising students in undergraduate/master’s degree programs.

Teaching opportunities tied to program need/candidate expertise – particular areas of interest for this position include speech sound disorders, neurogenic disorders across the life-span, voice, and/or feeding/swallowing. Mentorship is provided.

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned Ph.D. or ABD status in Speech-Language Pathology; evidence of/potential for expertise in teaching/research/service; eligibility for CCC-SLP and NC license.

Preferred Qualifications:

ASHA certified
