This individual will work in partnership with software delivery teams to ensure they are meeting the quality standards while optimizing the SDLC (software development lifecycle) process. This person will ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of these demands, facilitate complex problem solving, act as an integrator within a global-complex organization, bring awareness and insights to the entire organization. He/She will also collaborate with global teams, being the Latin America Regional Service Owner for these domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SQA & Testing activities related to projects, enhancements and service/support engagements which follow Waterfall or Agile methodologies ensuring compliance with SDLC while driving teams to a zero-rework execution

  • Ensure approved software development standards, processes and procedures are adhered to, as well as make recommendations on the adoption of industry best-practices

  • Identify, track and analyze project quality goals and objectives in terms of predicting the defects based on historical baselines

  • Approve compliance plan & summary reports for the projects and ensure execution of the same while ensuring process adherence

  • Be a partner with the project team(s) to collect the data for the identified metrics per project's defined process and provide analysis of those metrics;

  • Initiate corrective actions if the project data is going above or below the control limits established and ensure necessary action

  • Roll up SaTA metrics across application development projects; ensuring short and long-term SaTA goals are met by the project teams on time and within budget, providing mentorship where required

Qualificações

Education:

A Bachelor's degree is required, and a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred

Experience and Skills: Required:

  • Experience in information technology is required, preferably in a large global organization

  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance is required

  • Experience using Software Quality Assurance and Testing disciplines and methodologies in large projects is required

  • Thorough and detailed understanding of all phases the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall is required

  • Experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries are preferred

  • Working knowledge of application validation policies, procedures, work instructions, forms and templates

    Other:

  • Fluent English is required, and intermediary Spanish is desired

  • Experience or certification in Lean methodology or Agile certification is desired

  • Understanding of CMMI, ISO, ITIL and PMI standards is preferred
