VMware Senior Data Analyst in Bulgaria

We are looking for an agile, self-driven, communicative candidate to take on the role of Data Analyst in VMware’s Product Analytics team. The Data Analyst works on advanced development projects in the area of big data analytics, analyzing the available data sets and turning data into information, information into insights, and insights into business decisions. You will assist with the development of our Data Warehouse, including tailored data pipelines to push the data into it on a regular basis. You will work closely with business owners to understand the business need and cooperate with data scientists to answer pressing business questions. You should be comfortable working in dynamic environment supporting multiple teams and delivering data and business reports.
Job Role and Responsibility
Deliver BI solutions driving business decisions in response to business questions
Develop expertise on business processes, life-cycles, and data drivers to recommend BI solutions and drive requirement discussions
Deliver ad hoc business data analyses and dashboards in Tableau/Mode Analytics
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
Perform QA activities to validate requirements are being met through front end solutions, data model verification, and source to target mapping
Drive projects with cross-functional teams to solve ongoing issues and to support creation of new data attributes supporting BI report creation
Proactively investigate, report, and where possible addresses data quality issues and suggests improvements
Work with business stakeholders and engineers to ensure data is consistent across various systems
Support the delivery and continuous improvement of existing BI solutions
Support communication, training, and documentation to enable successful user adoption and extended team member readiness
Identify gaps in E2E data processing pipelines and propose and implement solutions to address those gaps
Support and participate in discussions to improve processes, analyses, and reporting
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Economics, Engineering or relevant field.
3-5 years of experience in data analytics, reporting or BI working with large data sets, developing ETL jobs, etc.
Expert knowledge of SQL.
Experience with visualization tools – Preferably but not limited to Tableau, Mode, Power BI, Qlik, etc.
Excellent verbal and written command of English

Systems orientated with strong analytical understanding and database skills for data retrieval, manipulation and data architecture
